Cissbury Barns Wedding Video
Louis & Georgia had their wedding at the gorgeous Cissbury Barns in Worthing, West Sussex in August 2023. They booked us for the Preparations, Standard Package and Dancefloor option. This was a fantastic choice as it mean’t that all aspects of the day were covered from the emotional build up during the preparations, until the party! They also chose our ‘Cinematography edit’ option which means they received a Feature film, Highlights and full ceremony/ speeches. Nothing was missed!
The Proposal
We asked Georgia how Louis had propsoed and she said, “Louis organised a special picnic in the middle of our favourite vineyard – Ridgeview in Ditchling. We had an area with food and sparkling wine ready to be enjoyed after he proposed. Afterwards we were joined by both of our families and baby son in the vineyards bar for a drink before all going for a celebratory dinner at The Bull restaurant.”
Visions & Ideas
The couple told us, “We didn’t want to overthink anything, we just wanted to keep it simple and our focus was for our nearest and dearest to have the best day ever!”
Memorable moments were, “Seeing all our friends and family having a good time in one place, also all looking incredible!”
The Morning
Louis told us that he felt mainly excited for the day to begin. Georgia felt calm as she knew they had organised all they could and it was all out of their hands now. She was very excited to get married and start the party and to see all that they had organised on the day come into fruition.
We LOVED Georgia’s wedding dress from Bo & Luca so alternative, stunning and completely suited her!
Inspiration
The couple decided on neutral colours, they wanted to complement the venue. Florals were created by Rosanne Florists – Burgess Hill.
Justine Claire was the couples photographer, we have worked alongside her on a few occasions and always have lots of fun! Highly recommended!
Georgia & Louis decided against a wedding cake and had a DONUT wall instead, the guests thought they’d died and gone to heaven when then Krispy Cremes appeared before their eyes, they flocked! Not to say that me and Justine didn’t get a little taste test… haha! Georgia told us, ” we purchased a personalised donut wall on Etsy, we had the glazed ring donuts with – Mr & Mrs Hall piped onto the donuts. We chose a donut wall as we were told cakes are expensive and don’t get eaten and EVERYONE loves a donut. Safe to say none were left at the end of the night!” – they were very right!
Wild Garlic Catering supplied the food at their Cissbury Barns Wedding. Louis told us, “We visited the caterers base and we did a menu tasting on what we discussed on the phone that we like to eat and what would be best executed on the day.”
Entertainment
Louis & Georgia had a bouncy castle during the day for the children and guests, including lawn games. In the evening they had a vintage style telephone that guests were able to leave a message on, I thought this was a great idea over a guest book!
The Wedding Film
“We don’t have any favourite bits of our wedding video as we genuinely love it all, just watching it all and reliving the whole day is so special.”
Georgia told us, “The part I love watching the most is the part of our wedding film that has Louis reading his speech over short clips of me and him on the day.”
Wedding Day Advice
- Get a wedding planner book, it’s very useful to write that you book and need to do in one place.
- Don’t sweat the small stuff!
- If you can try and decorate parts of the day yourself you will save a lot of money – I saved all the glass jars from food in our house, decorated them and put flowers in from supermarkets for our table decorations.
- Hobbicraft is very good for wedding decorations.
- There’s even more of a reason to have a wedding videographer if you have a young child as it will be lovely for them to see it back when they’re older
