A Glamorous Wotton House Wedding
Mike & Christie got married at the whimsical Wotton House in the heart of the Surrey Hills, not far from Dorking in March 2022.
The Vision
Their vision for their Wotton House wedding day was ‘clean, classy, with gold and sage’ – they definitely adhered to that theme throughout! They spent hundreds of hours scrolling through Pinterest for ideas!
How the day began
The groom was super chilled – totally Mike’s style! And Christie was excited for the day but everything happened soo quickly and it became quite hectic in the last hour before the wedding ceremony.
We love filming at Wotton House for so many reasons but one being how beautiful the bridal suites are, it means we can get some amazing shots using the light that pours in through the gothic style windows. Also the plus of having your preparations filmed when the wedding is all at one venue is that we can get so much more extra footage, theres no time lost driving between locations. At your Wotton House wedding we can also capture the different stages of both preparations (if both partners are getting ready in the same place) and also guests arrivals. It’s lovely to watch back on, to see what everybody got up to in the morning!
The Dress
Christie found her ‘Dando’ dress at Confetti & Lace in Lakeside, Essex and knew it was the one as soon as she put it on.
Hayley B Weddings was the couples photographer, another fab photographer who I always work well alongside. I love her ‘speedy’ approach to the formal photos, she doesn’t like to hold the guests or couples back for any longer than necessary so they can get back to enjoying the day, without compromising any of the images of course!
Mike & Christie booked our standard package and dancefloor montage option meaning they had got us for the evening! I strongly recommend that the dancefloor monatge option is considered when booking your Wotton House Wedding wedding film if you have friends and family who really love a good party! This works so well for video and is hilarious to film not to mention to watch back!
Wedding Entertainment Ideas
Mike & Christie booked a Magician for their Wotton House Wedding drinks reception, a Harpist for the ceremony and a Saxophonist and DJ for the evening. All of which were recommended by Wotton House or friends.
Wedding Videography
We asked Mike & Christie what they loved most about their wedding film and they said ‘We loved all of our wedding video but mostly enioyed seeing our friends and family having a good time. It’s so nice re-living the day and watching parts that we don’t remember’.
They also gave some great advice to couples planning their wedding…
‘Don’t get stressed about the tiny details – they really don’t matter on the day!’
