A Wotton House Wedding | Alexandra and Jack
Wotton House Wedding
Alexandra and Jack’s wedding at Wotton House was a relaxed and beautifully personal Surrey wedding, filled with thoughtful details, live music, and the joy of having all their favourite people together in one place.
They chose our 8 hour wedding film coverage (Edition II), allowing the day to be captured naturally from guest arrivals through to the atmosphere of the celebrations, preserving not just the big moments but the quieter ones in between.
From Dubai to Surrey
Jack proposed to Alexandra during a trip to Dubai, hiring a private Abra boat and popping the question in front of the iconic Burj Al Arab in October 2022. From that unforgettable moment, their wedding plans soon took shape, leading them to Wotton House in Surrey for their summer wedding in June 2024.
A Wedding at Wotton House
Set within the Surrey countryside, Wotton House provided the perfect backdrop for their day. One of the things that made Alexandra and Jack’s wedding especially meaningful was the inclusion of their cavapoo, Penny, who played a special part in the celebrations. Having their dog involved was something they both felt strongly about and it added a lovely personal touch to the day.

A real highlight for them was having all of their family together, something that doesn’t happen often, and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere created throughout the day. Live music played a big role, with a string quartet, a singer performing during the wedding breakfast and pre drinks, and a magician who brought an extra sense of fun. The magician even had a personal connection, having performed at Jack’s parents’ wedding twenty years earlier.

Styling and Details
The original colour vision evolved during the planning process, eventually settling on a champagne and gold colour scheme that felt elegant and timeless. Alexandra’s dress was from Isabella Grace, with shoes found during a family trip to New York, while Jack and his groomsmen wore tailored suits from Dorking, with Jack choosing a different coloured blazer to stand out.

Their cake was created by Joanne Harper, chosen for both flavour and design, and the overall styling reflected a balance of classic elegance and relaxed celebration.

Choosing a Wedding Film
Alexandra and Jack first saw my work at the Wotton House open day and booked me early on in their planning. For them, having their wedding day filmed was about being able to look back and see everything they might otherwise miss.
After receiving their film, they loved reliving moments they had forgotten, especially guest arrivals, the ceremony, and the speeches. As a wedding videographer in Surrey, capturing those natural interactions and emotions is always at the heart of how I approach filming a wedding day.

A Day to Remember
Like many couples, Alexandra and Jack felt a mixture of nerves and excitement on the morning of the wedding. Their advice to couples just starting their planning journey is to take inspiration from social media, attend open days, speak to others who have married at the venue, and gather as much insight as possible before making decisions.
Their wedding at Wotton House was a joy to film and a wonderful example of how thoughtful planning, great suppliers, and a relaxed approach can come together to create a truly memorable day.
