A Classical Penshurst Place Wedding
Alex & Colleen got married at the Elizabethan manor house, Penshurst Place surrounded by 11 acres of gardens in the rolling countryside of Kent in June 2022.
The Proposal
Colleen told us, “It was our 10 year anniversary and Alex had decided to treat me and take us to New York for a long weekend. On a very wet and windy trip to the Empire State building Alex proposed to me at the top of the building.” – WOW!!!
Wedding Video Packages
Alex & Colleen booked our Preparations and standard package coverage which meant that we started filming in the morning at Hotel Du Vin, Tunbridge Wells then onto Penshurst Place for the ceremony and reception.
The lovely couple were feeling nervous but very excited about their big day after a couple of postponements due to covid, they couldn’t believe that the day they’d dreamed about was finally here!
Memorable Moments
Colleen told us that she always remember that moment walking down the aisle seeing Alex waiting for her. It is also lovely to see that back on their wedding video. Not to mention their three sons, who had a special part in their wedding day walking down the aisle before their Mum.
We asked the couple why they chose to have a wedding film and they said, “People always have photographers but having a video to always watch and show people is amazing.”
Wedding Day Inspiration
Colleen found her dress at Isabella Grace Bridal Boutique in Tunbridge Wells, a wonderful shop with a vast array of dresses to try on, such an experience for any bride.
The couple got their wedding inspiration from “alot of Internet searching for ideas and images that we thought would suit our venue and us.” – it certainly paid off and there were so many little personal touches for their guests.
Kelly Rhodes made the couples cake, 4 Seasons Catering provided the food, there was a beautiful string quartet and Simon P provided the evening entertainment
Wedding Videography
We asked Alex & Colleen what they loved most about their wedding film and they said, “getting to look back on the whole day, your friends and family enjoying themselves and helping us celebrate our day.”
They also gave some great advice to couples planning their wedding…
‘Take your time in making your decisions enjoy every moment and 100% have a wedding videographer!’
