Set amongst 50 acres of stunning gardens and parkland, Susi & Asa got married at the luxury wedding venue, Great Fosters. After their wedding we asked the lovely couple a few questions about the planning and their wedding day…

Tell us about the Proposal…

At Glastonbury! Asa proposed on the hill before the first night fireworks but Susi accidentally slipped down the hill from nerves. When Asa got down on one knee, his knee didn’t make the hill either and he slipped too! Susi said yes at the bottom of the hill.

Did you have a vision for the wedding or was it something that just developed?

Yes! We wanted a blue and white forest with woodland animals.

Do you have any particular memorable moments from your wedding day?

Crying seeing my brother just before he walked me down the aisle, crying seeing Asa and seeing the beautiful reception room

What were the main reasons for choosing to book a wedding videographer?

To relive the day over and over again! I also love videography myself and appreciate Anneka’s incredible work.

Who was your photographer?

Simon from BeUnveiled Weddings.

How did you both feel on the morning of the wedding?

Susi was anxious, tired but excited, and Asa was excited too!

Where did you find your wedding dress?

David’s Bridal. First dress I picked up in the shop!

Where did you get the flowers?

Lily’s Flowers. We had a meeting and spoke about the theme and they even made drawings to help us vision it all.

Who made your cake and how did you decide on how you wanted it to look?

Jasmine Robertson. We both had ideas for the woodland theme but Jasmine’s creativity drove the look. I wanted a deer and owl on there.

Who provided the food and how did you choose the menu?

Great Fosters restaurant and we did a food tasting

Did you have any entertainment?

We had a silhouette artist to start and then a magician. We sadly couldn’t have a dance floor because of covid but we absolutely loved our choices!

Do you have any particular memorable moments from the day?

Girls and boys getting ready, seeing my brother and walking down the aisle. I also loved seeing everyone enjoy the reception room

Do you have any advice for couples who are at the start of the wedding planning process?

Do something everyday to avoid last minute stresses!
