Guy & Cara got married at the beautiful Sprivers Mansion, a grade II listed Georgian country house in Kent. We’ve filmed there a couple of times before and love how exclusive and personalised the wedding feels.

Wedding video coverage

Guy and Cara chose our Preparations and Standard Package coverage with the full documentary edit. They wanted a longer film with a short highlights (see below).

How the day started

We arrived on a lovely sunny morning in August and started filming some shots of the venue outside, we were spoilt for choice as the house and the grounds are simply stunning! The we visited Cara and her bridesmaids who were getting their make up done by Samantha Campbell Bridal Makeup to get some shots of the bridal preparations. The flowers arrived from Jane at Graham Greener in Whitstable and were absolutely beautiful pastel blooms which complimented the bridesmaids dresses perfectly. Guy was getting ready with his ushers and best men at the rear of the house so we also visited him to get some of his final getting ready shots. The couple also gifted each other some fantastic and very thoughtful presents which was great to capture on their wedding film to get their reactions! Check out our other blog for gift ideas.

The weather quickly became changeable and Guy had to make a decision whether to go with an indoor or outdoor ceremony, the venue were extremely flexible and were on hand when needed to move chairs and set up super quick. The decision was made that they would have some chairs indoors and some outdoors, and the actual ceremony took place centrally which was lovely for all of their family and friends to see.

Cara was ready in her gorgeous gown and nervously, but excitedly walked down the aisle to meet Guy! The ceremony went really well with two heartfelt readings from two close friends and shortly after, they were greeted with lashings of confetti from their guests on the lawn.

The reception

The wedding reception was held in the permanent marquee behind the country house styled by Hire Love. Guests were entertained by the fantastic Truly Medley Deeply singers, Vera the ice cream van, free flowing champagne and amazing canapés from the Curious Eatery. Penny Young Photography got stuck right in and wizzed through the formal photos so the couple didn’t miss out on any mingling time with their guests.

The Party

The evening party kicked off with cocktails outside by the Curious Eatery, Rascals Pizza Food Truck, a Photo Booth and Truly Medley Deeply continued the party until late! What a lovely end to a beautiful summers wedding at Sprivers Mansion.
