Beautiful Wedding at Hendall Manor Barns

Penny & Kyle planned their beautiful wedding at Hendall Manor Barns in East Sussex. We love filming there as it’s a mixture of new and old with rustic charm. We chatted to the couple about why they decided to have a wedding videographer on their wedding journey.

How it started…

Penny was very close to her Nanny who sadly passed away a few years ago. Her church is very special to Penny. It was Christmas eve and Kyle suggested laying some flowers for her Nan. He then took Penny inside the church (which usually makes her cry!) but when she walked in, there were candles everywhere and Kyle got down on one knee and asked Penny to marry him. They actually had a blessing in the church the day after the wedding.

Penny & Kyle are both very relaxed and wanted to keep the wedding simple and shabby chic. Hendall Manor Barns is absolutely beautiful so didn’t need much decorating – just some beautiful white roses (Yorkshire rose as Penny’s nan was from Yorkshire) and of course, their wedding guests!

Memories

Penny & Kyle’s wedding was the second weekend after lockdown finished so walking down the aisle and seeing all of their friends and family in one space was a feeling they will remember forever. They smiled from start to finish – you could just feel the love in the room!

Wedding Videography

Penny & Kyle chose to have their wedding filmed to be able to remember their day forever. We captured so many moments that the couple missed and it was so special. Being able to watch and see their friends and families reactions to different moments is also wonderful.

Inspiration

Penny & Kyle chose neutral colours to match the flowers. Penny chose the flowers then her bridesmaids tried different dresses all in ivory. Her nieces had a choice of different dresses – all in ivory and they chose the most princess-like of course!

Elizabeth Caton Food and Wine did the catering. Lizzie sent Penny & Kyle different menu options, they went for a tasting and it was all so, so good! They can’t recommend her and her team enough.

Entertainment

Penny’s friend Jess has a circus company (Showtime Circus) and so she set up her hoop rig and equipment for the children (and adults!!) to use through the day and evening. Mel then did a fire performance for them in the evening in her point shoes – beautiful ballerina! They had a saxophonist in the day while their guests were having canapés and then in the evening with the DJ.

Highlights

We asked Penny what were the best bits of the wedding film, she said “I loved seeing Kyle’s reaction when I walked down the aisle as I couldn’t see when I was far away. All the natural shots of our guests enjoying themselves. None of them even knew we had a videographer because Anneka is so discreet. Special memories captured forever.”

She also gave some advice for other couples at the start of their wedding planning process, “Enjoy every second! Don’t let it become stressful – it’s such a happy day!”
